Interesting pie=shape shot of NKP 890 with an apparent derailed car problem. Built by Baldin in November of 1911 (serial #40866) as Toledo, St Louis & Western #190, it was absorbed into the NKP roster when the Cloverleaf line was taken over. A note on the back states "NKP (LE&W) Eng 890 at TPW-NKP's new interchange track opposite Peoria Yard. Srping of 1949" This loco served the Nickel Plate until being sold to the Luntz Iron & Steel for scrap in 12/12/1952. The photographer initials on the photo are KFS |
