PRR 4-4-4-4 #5507         
This unique experimental 4-4-4-4 wheel configuration was built by the PRR's Altoona Shops in 1945. It lasted 8 years before being scrapped in 1953. According to Wikipeida, tje T1 duplex drive 4-4-4-4 steam locos were ambitious, technologically sophisticated, powerful, fast and distinctively streamlined by Raymond Loewy. However, they were also prone to wheelslip both when starting and at speed, in addition to being complicated to maintain and expensive to run.
