Here is another example of a 1916 Reading shops built Pacific. The fireman gives hand signals to the engineer during a maneuver in the Philadelphia yard. The class G1-sa Pacific-type locomotive had 80" drivers, developed 220 psi!boiler pressure and exerting a tractive force of 40,906 lb. Date is approximate. Max Miller photo |
