Here a trio of EL power heads up a long string of cars near Saddle Brook, NJ. The lead unit, #801, was built in May of 1951 and served first as EMD demo #4352 before being sold to the Delaware & Hudson as #801. The caption on the back of the photo states "Up on mainline from RT". Not sure what that means - can anyone explain? Date is approximate. |
