The photo was taken by an unknown Chicago rail fan who thankfully recorded the date and location on the glassine negative envelope.

Eric Reinert General Northbound approaching State Line Interlocking. #22 was the standard power in this era the Monon swapped in South Hammond yard so they could save money not having to turn an F-3 around for the run back South. 9/27/2017 8:37:31 PM
