| Built by Baldwin in 1910, the class was originally nicknamed Bull Mooser for its odd 3 dome appearance and external steam piping. The Santa Fe shops eventually simplified and superheated the class in the 1920' like #1491. They were very handy for branch-line local passenger service and lasted until the early 1950's. Original specs - class 1480, 73" drivers, 220 psi, 15x26" high pressure cylinders, 25x26" low pressure cylinders, engine weight of 231,675 lb, tractive effort of 22,038 lb.
