NYC 3820 - New York Central "Sharknose"
Nice photo by an unknown photographer of the "Sharknose" New York Central #3820. Built by Baldwin in January of 1952 (serial #75356), the distinctive "sharknose" design was to distance this model from previous Baldwins that had been plaqued by problems. The model proved to be a successful freight mover. Later this unit would be renumbered 1220 before being scrapped in the late 1960's.
