Here is a fairly nice original color slide of the Illinois Terminal line car #1706. Similar to #1702 now preserved at the Illinois Rwy Museum in Union, IL, this line car was probably built by the Illinois Traction System shops around 1922 like #1702 & 1703. The line was converted to diesel in 1958 so the remaining line cars (except 1702) were scrapped. No photographer was listed for the slide. |
