LNE 2-8-0C #29 - Lehigh & New England         
The engineer is waiting patiently at the cab window of the 1910 Baldwin built 2-8-0 camelback #29. This camelback has about another year to serve before heading to the scrapper's torch when it is retired in July of 1948, long after other camelbacks have been scrapped. Specs - class E-9 class, 50" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 153,200 lb, tractive effort of 35,360 lb. The loco was later superheated by the LNE shops. J.R.
