Here is a car that has been transformed and moved from one roster to another. It started out being built by EMD as Great Northern F3B #354B in December of 1947 (serial #4695). It was converted to a heater car and renumbered first GN #10 on July 1, 1965. Next it landed on the BN roster as their #10. Then on 8/23/1972, the unit was sold to Amtrak and became their #660. Currently it is in private ownership in Willits, CA. An unknown photographer took this color slide. |
