This is one of the earlier Alco S2's built in September of 1943 as MILW #1666 (serial #69935). It was renumbered later as MILW #825 before being scrapped at the Milwaukee Shops in 1963. Note in the picture to the far left is the curved nose of Milwaukee Road FM Erie-A #12A. Specs - 10-AS class, 1000 hp, engine weight of 230,000. Unknown photographer. |
