This is one of the last Alco S2's ordered in April of 1949 as MILW #1852 (serial #76621). The switcher was later renumbered MILW #842 before being traded in to EMD in 1966 for a GP40. Specs - 10-AS class, 1000 hp, engine weight of 232,000 lb. Unknown photographer. |
