Alco, 9/1952, nee-DH RS3 4106 D&H had their fleet of eight RS3u units rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen between December of 1975 and march of 1976. Larger Alco prime movers were installed as well as raising the long hood 6 inches and moving the dynamic brake cooling box to behind the cab. The D&H later nicknamed these locos as "Club Foots" since they tended to slip under heavy loads. No date or location was given for the photo so approximates were used. No photographer was listed. |
