Looking like it just stepped out of the paint shop is this 1972 EMD built SD40-2 for the Canadian Pacific Railway. This scheme was applied to only a few locos in the summer of 1997 after CP dropped the "dual flags" scheme but before they tried the beaver logo scheme later in 1997. The original scheme had 6" diagonal nose stripes. No photographer or location was given for the photo but it appears to be SK yard in Buffalo, NY. |
