Here is photo taken by an unknown rail fan of NJT E9A #4253 in commuter service. Originally built as PRR 5793A in June of 1952, the loco has survived the PRR/PC collapse and commuter service on the NJT roster. As of 2023, it was in storage as CTVX 61 (Cleveland Terminal and Valley Rwy) Unfortunately,no photographer, location or exact date in 1982 was given for the photo. With help from Steve Coraggio (see comment below), the location is now identified as the Matawan station. Thanks Steve for your help!!! |
