NP 4-6-2 #2153 - Northern Pacific
Title:  NP 4-6-2 #2153 - Northern Pacific
Description:  Built by Baldwin in March of 1909, Northern Pacific 4-6-2 Pacific type steam locomotives #2153 and #2156 are two of the last 4 remaining of the over 200 4-6-2 Pacifics that NP had on its roster at one time. Both 2153 and 2156 were fortunate to end up at the Minnesota Transportation Museum. Originally NP donated #2153 to East Grand Forks, NS for a park display. In 2000, the city gave it to the MN Transportation Museum. According to the museum's website, NP #2153 was cosmetically restored for the time being while restoration of #2156 and NP 4-6-0 #328 would continue first. It is still sitting in the roundhouse shop area for vistiors to see during a tour.
