Title:  CN 2-8-0 #2100
Description:  This 1907 Montreal Locomotive Woirks 2-8-0 Consolidation #2100 was originally built for the Canadian Northern Rwy as CNoR #2100 but absorbed into the Canadian National Rwy in 1923. It appears to be in either a storage line or scrap lint although the switcher wasn't scrapped until November of 1956. Unknown photographer and location.

Title:  CN 2-8-0 #2110 - Canadian National
Description:  Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1908-09 as CNoR #2110 (serial #44582), this loco was absorbed into the newly consolidated Canadian National as CN #2110 in 1919. The loco served the Canadian National for nearly 35 years before being scrapped in September of 1954. Specs - 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 156,900 lb, tractive effort of 34,197 lb. Al Paterson photo

Description:  Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in June 1908 as CNoR #444 renumbered CNoR #2117 in 1910, it was renumbered CN 2117 in 1919 after the railroad merger. It was scrapped in April of 1954 after nearly 45 years of service. No location, date or photographer was given for the photo.

Description:  A pair of double-heading Canadian National steam locos head up a long passenger train near Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. CN #5126 was built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in June of 1920 (serial #61861, class J-4-e) and lasted until scrapped in February of 1960. Unknown photographer.

CN Turcot Yard roundhouse & turntable
Title:  CN Turcot Yard roundhouse & turntable
Description:  Looking very much like a posed shot, Anthony H. Perles was able to capture a nearly full roundhouse collection posing at the Turcot Yard in Montreal, Canada. The roundhouse was demolished in 1962 and the yard reduced to only a few tracks with a massive road interchange built on the site to handle the car traffic through the area. The locos in the photo are left to right - CN 3424 (2-8-2). 3304 (2-8-2), 5282 (4-6-4), 46 (4-6-4T), 2567 (2-8-0) and 3488 (2-8-2).

Description:  An unknown photographer was able to snap a picture of this work train as it passed through Oakville, Ontario, Canada, headed up by Canadian National 2-8-0 #2568. Built by ALCo-Schenectady in April of 1907, the loco started out as GTR #708 (serial #42048) but was renumbered CN 2568 in 1923 when it was merged into the CN roster. The loco was built as a compound Consolidation but later simplified. It served nearly 53 years before being scrapped in February of 1960. Original specs - 63" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 22.5x32" high pressure cylinders, 35x32" low pressure cylinders, engine weight of 211,200 lb, tractive effort of 32,478 lb. Description:  Built by ALCo-Schenectady in August of 1907, this 2-8-0 started out as GTR #763 (serial #43552). In 1923 when the Grand Trunk Western was formed, the loco was renumbered GTW #2665 and in January of 1925, it slid onto the Canadian National roster as CN 2665. The loco served for nearly 54 years before meeting the scrapper's torch in September of 1961. Specs - 56" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 23x32" cylinders, engine weight of 211,200 lb, tractive effort of 46,250 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.

Description:  Long before a diesel carried the CN #2690, this 2-8-0 Consolidation had the honor. Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works (Alco) in August of 1911 as Grand Trunk Pacific (GTP) #813, it was renumbered in 1919 to CN #2690 after the railroad mergers. After nearly 49 years of service, it was scrapped in May of 1960. This is a Ray Deshenes photo. No date or location was given for the photo.
