LNAC 4-4-0 #5 - Louisville, New Albany & Corydon
Title:  LNAC 4-4-0 #5 - Louisville, New Albany & Corydon
Description:  Good looking photo of the little American-type locomotive with a head of steam and ready to roll. This little loco lasted until the 1950's and was sold to the Ferdinand RR after being replaced by the GE 45ton unit . With the help from a comment by Jim Brewster on one of these photos, I now know it was built by H. K. Porter Inc.

LNAC 4-4-0 #5 - Louisville, New Albany & Corydon
Title:  LNAC 4-4-0 #5 - Louisville, New Albany & Corydon
Description:  Great sepia toned original photo that I chose to leave untouched as it just seems right. With the help from a comment by Jim Brewster (see comment below), I now know it was built by H. K. Porter Inc. This was a C.W. Witbeck photo, not sure if he took it or it was just part of his collection.

LNAC 4-4-0 #5 - Louisville, New Albany & Corydon RR
Title:  LNAC 4-4-0 #5 - Louisville, New Albany & Corydon RR
Description:  This little switcher served the 7.7 mile short line near Corydon, Indiana until being sold to another tiny indiana short line, the Ferdinand RR sometime between 1950-52. It's sister engine, #9, was the last to be sold to the Ferdinand RR in 1953 after being replaced by a GE 45 ton loco. If anyone knows the builder of this loco, please let me know. Would like to document accurately Indiana railroading as much as I can!

LNAC 4-4-0 #9 - Louisville, New Albany & Corydon
Title:  LNAC 4-4-0 #9 - Louisville, New Albany & Corydon
Description:  Rare photo of Louisville, New Albany and Corydon's 4-4-0 pulling a combination passenger/baggage car. The little loco survived on the very short Hoosier line until it was replace by the GE 45ton, "Betty Sue" in 1951. The little steamer was sold like its previous sister #5 to the Ferdinand RR where it worked until being replaced by another GE 45 ton #101 in February, 1953. It was eventually scrapped. If anyone knows the original builder of this loco, I would appreciate hearing from you.
