This EMD SW8 unit built in September of 1951 as Lehigh Valley #267 now is part of the Conrail system as it works a local run. The unidentified photographer wrote this note on the slide; "LV 267 on CR west of Hunter Tower on industrial sput crossing Frelinghuysen Ave." After Conrail, this switcher would move on to serve Amtrak and was spotted in Chicago as late as 1993. |
