Description:
Nice example of the 1905 Alco-Richmond built 4-6-2 Pacific caught her at East St Louis, IL, yard by an unknown photographer. Specs - class P, 72 1/2" drivers, 22 psi boiler pressure, 22x28" cylinders, engine weight of 219,500 lb, tractive effort of 34,955 lb. Later the class was superheated and larger cylinders installed. All in the class were retired by 1951.

Description:
This 1911 Alco-Richmond Pacific type locomotive sits in an unknown yard" The date on the photo is being used as the photo date. History - Alco-Richmond, 8/1911, Specs - class Ps-2, 72.5" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 24x28" cylinders, engine weight of 232,000 lb and tractive effort of 35,400 lb. After nearly 36 years of service, the loco was retired and presumedly scrapped in April of 1947. No exact date, location or photographer was listed for the photo.
