Lead unit is the genset #2162 delivered in July of 2012. A dark green lightning stripe instead of the traditional black one on the orange body is one of the identifying points. Unfortunately at times the green appears almost black like the Pennsy GG1 Brunswick green was. The three air intake vents on the sides, one for each generator module, also makes it easy to spot this "flavor" of IHB loco. |

When the light is right, the simple way to spot one of these newer units is by the color of the stripe. Traditional IHB diesels have a black stripe while the newer gensets have a dark green stripe. Only problem is sometimes the dark green can look black under certain lighting conditions. |
