A year before the Canadian Pacific finally merged the Soo Line into its rosters, Larry Nast caught this SOO MP15AC unit #1554 sitting in the Bensenville, IL, yard. The loco is still wearing some of its original Milwaukee Road orange and black livery. Built by EMD in September of 1975 as MILW #487, it was part of the merged roster that fleshed out the early Soo Line roster. The loco was spun off into GMTX #331 at a much later date. |
