No location, date or photographer was listed for this photo but based on the cars in the background, it appears to be around 1945 or after.

Title:  CSS Interurban #26, Freight Motor #901 & Line car 1100
Description:  This is an interested trio of Chicago, South Shore & South Bend items caught at the Michigan City Shops area. To the left corner is CSS interurban #26, one of the Pullman cars built in 1926. In the center of the photo is CSS freight motor #901. This electric steeplecab was built by Baldwin/Westinghouse in 1929 as IC #10001. The CSS acquaired it in 1941. Finally to the the far right is CSS maintenance of way line car #1100 rebuilt from an indiana Railroad interurban car. This is a photo from the orignal negative that Lawrence H. Boehning took over 67 years ago!

Description:  Sitting just east of the Michigan City shops area is Chicago South Shore & South Bend interurban #32. Built by Standard Steel Co in 1929 before the merger with Pullman a few years later, this car was part of a fleet that served the Chicago to northwest Indiana region for nearly 30+ years. Description:  CSS #32 was built by Standard Steel Car Company in 1929 as a 48 seat smoker. It was air-conditioned later and sold to National Park Service in 1983. Then it was leased to Seashore Trolley Museum in 1989. No photographer was listed for this color slide. CSS #2 sitting to the left in the background was built by Pullman-Standard in 1926 as a 56 seat smoker. It was lengthened in 1945-47. A small piece of CSS SW1 #601 can be seen to the far right of #32. No photographer was listed for this color slide.

Description:  This is a rebuilt interurban car done by Pullman-Standard in 1951 from CSSSB coach #29 (originally a 64 seat coach-baggage car). It went to Fox River Trolley Museum in 1988 and sadly, it was later scrapped. Technicatlly this is a Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District car, not the CSSSB since it's after the 1977 re-organization.
