The train cleared Mulberry Street on its way to the Hoosier countryside ride. Unfortunately I missed photographing the watchman who was standing on Mulberry to protect the intersection as the train departed. He had been waiting patiently at trhe watchman's shanty before the train started up. |

Quite a surprise when I spotted former Elgin, Joliet & Eastern loco #818. Much like JTBX #814 at the Hoosier Valley RR Museum, this loco started out as Duluth, Missabee & Eastern SD9 #172. It bounced to the EJE and then onto several other rosters before landing in the Hoosier Valley RR Museum in all its orange J splendor. |
