Description:  Purchased new from Alco in April of 1952, the unit was sold to Linden Chlorine in 1986 after serving the ME for 34 years. A note on the back states "Great north, N.J. Yard Me #15 going for wheel turning. Summer 68" No photographer listed for this photo.

Title:  SB Alco S4 #95 - South Buffalo Rwy
Description:  Caught by Michael A. Tedesco while sitting in the South Buffalo Yard in Buffalo, New York, this Alco unit was built in August of 1951 (serial #78827). Eventually the unit was sold to OHCR. Does anyone know whether this loco is still at OHCR?

Title:  JLSX S4 #107 - Jones & Laughlin Steel
Description:  This is a rare roster shot of Jones & Laughling Steel Alco S4 #107 switcher working the Aliquippa, PA steel yard. Nice color slide taken by Michael A. Tedesco while the unit was an active player on the Jones & Laughlin Steel propery. Only 797 S4's were built by Alco between 1950-57. Not sure if this Jones & Laughlin Steel Co S4 #107 was an original purchase or purchased later from a former owner. Does anyone know the history behind this switcher and its disposition?

Description:  This Alco S4 yard switcher was built in October of 1951 as MILW #1887 (serial #79218) but renumbered later to MILW 814. The loco lasted until being traded in to EMD in 1967 for a new GP40 loco. . Specs - 10-AS class, 1000 hp, engine weight of 231,000 lb. Unknown photographer.

Title:  NW S-4 #2077 - Norfolk & Western
Description:  Built in May of 1953 as Nickel Plate Road #77, this switcher came under the Norfolk & Western during the merger. According to the Nickel Plate Road Historical Society webpage, it was finally retired by NW in in 10/2/1974 and sold to PNC in January of 1975. It was then immediately resold to NI&M February of 1975 Michael A. Tedesco slide
