JLSX S4 #107 - Jones & Laughlin Steel |
Description: |
This is a rare roster shot of Jones & Laughling Steel Alco S4 #107 switcher working the Aliquippa, PA steel yard. Nice color slide taken by Michael A. Tedesco while the unit was an active player on the Jones & Laughlin Steel propery. Only 797 S4's were built by Alco between 1950-57. Not sure if this Jones & Laughlin Steel Co S4 #107 was an original purchase or purchased later from a former owner. Does anyone know the history behind this switcher and its disposition? |
