Description:  It appears that this Western Maryland FA2 unit #302 is in a storage line somewhere in Mayrland, possibly Hagerstown. History - Alco, 1/1951 serial #78495, The loco was sold to GE in June of 1972. It eventually was resold to Long Island RR as their rebuilt power car #610. This is a Bob Gottschall photo.

Title:  LV Alco FA2 #582 - Lehigh Valley
Description:  Nice b&w photo of Lehigh Valley Alco FA2 #583 standing at the passenger platform in Binghampton, NY. Built by Alco in November of 1950, the loco was used primarily in freight service although was pulled into passenger service in rare emergencies. Specs - serial #78277, original class DF5 but reclassified as AF16, Alco #244 prime mover, turbocharged, 16000 hp. The loco was traded into Alco in 1965-66 for a C628 order. No photographer listed for the photo.
