A note on back states "CN 9000 (FeA) has been donated to the Alberta Pioneer Railway Association of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The unit is minus its batteries and has a water leak into one of the cylinders but it is hoped these problems can be overcome and the unit will be able to operate on the association's museum site which is presently under development of north of Edmonton. Icy looking F3A unit built by EMD in May of 1948 for the Canadian National sits in the Elsdon Yard in Chicago on a frigid January day in 1971. Note on the back of the photo states "Canadian National F-3A #9003 stands in GTW's Elsdon Yard with ice all but concealing the lovers that appear on the carbody top instead of the usual grill work. Unit carries the usual roof top bell and yellow warning light, but has had her appearance changed radically with the addition of extra lovers to the car body. Simularily treated #9002 was the other end of the four unit lash-up which consisted of CN F-3B's #9001 and #9004 in the middle.
