MAW Alco C425 #325 - Maumee & Western
Title:  MAW Alco C425 #325 - Maumee & Western
Description:  The ALCO Century 425 was a four-axle, 2,500 hp (1,860 kW) diesel-electric locomotive of the road switcher type. 91 were built between October 1964 and December 1966. I could not find the lineage of this loco but J d (see comment below) helped out immensely. Built by Alco in June of 1965 (serial #3423-03) as SPS #312, it bounced from one roster to another - ex BN#4252 ex IHRC 325 ex MAW 325 ex DL 325 and finally renumbered Delaware Lackawanna No. 2457. Thanks for your help J d! An enthusiastic unknown rail fan took many photos of local switchers throughout Indiana - this being one of them.

CR C425 #5060 & #2422
Title:  CR C425 #5060 & #2422
Description:  Sad scrap line of Conrail C425's. Note the left loco has its new number, #5060, which previously was 2421. Next is #2422 but a smaller #5061 is written over the fuzzed 2422. Ken Taylor, a Conrail conductor, took the photo of the renumbering that had started just before these locos were retirement. Due to the color degradation of the slide, I converted it to a b&w photo.

PC C425 #2445 - Penn Central
Title:  PC C425 #2445 - Penn Central
Description:  Great roster shot by Forrest Trittenbach of PRR #2445 built by Alco in 1965. The C425 model delivered 2500 hp. Forrest Trittenbach photo. No date or location was given for the photo but Warren Evans supplied some insights. With the loco behind marked "PC", this has to be after 1968. Also, although not yet marked, it is technically PC C425 #2445. Thanks, Warren, for you help..

CR C425 #5060
Title:  CR C425 #5060
Description:  Nice roster shot of a retired Alco C425. Built by Alco in November of 1964 as PRR 2421, it served later as PC 2421, then CR 2421 before being renumbered near retirement to #5060. Retirement came on 3/16/1981. Due to the color degredation of slide from aging, I flipped it into b&w mode. Conrail conductior Ken Taylor captured the moment.
