Chambersburg & Gettysburg Rail Raod Diner
Title:  Chambersburg & Gettysburg Rail Raod Diner
Description:  Jim Lockart found this unique diner car in Caledonia Park, PA. This interesting Jackson & Sharp built wooden car car was reborn as a diner car by Bill Putch (married to actress Jean Stapleton) who ran the Totem Pole Playhouse in Caldedonia State Park. It was attached to two wood cabooses that served as the kitchen and dishwashing facilities. The dining car was in business between 1981 to the late 1980's before being sold at auction. This car may be owned now by the MA & PA Railway Preservation Society in Muddy Creek Forks, PA. Does anyone know the current disposition of this car?

Fort Missoula Detention Car
Title:  Fort Missoula Detention Car
Description:  One of the most unusual slides that Jim Lockart took was this Fort Missoula detention car. Fort Missoula was a WWII "Alien Detention Center" for the non-military Japanese, German and Italian aliens. Between 1941-1944, it held approximately 1200 non-military foreign nationals. This "Alien Detention Center" (ADC) was different from the ten better known "War Relocation Act" camps that held 120,000 Japanese Americans. The car may have been used as additional housing, a detention cell or a library at the camp but not sure about any of these. Can anyone add to this description?

EBT 14 - East Broad Top
Title:  EBT 14 - East Broad Top
Description:  EBT combinaton car #14 was possibly built by Gilbert Bush & Co some time in the 1880's. It was purchased by the East Broad Top in 1916 from the Boston Revere Beach and Lynn Railroad in Massachusetts, where it was configured as a smoker coach. The EBT converted the car into a combination car, with part of the car seating passengers and part accommodating baggage and freight. It eventually was used as a tourist train car but pulled from active service for restoration in the mid-2000's. As of 2020, it still has a few more years of restoration to go. Does anyone know if it has been completed yet? Jim Lockart slide

In 1949, British Rwys revoked the Dunrobin's running priviledge. It ended up being taken to Canada by one of the later owners. Due to bankrupcy, the loco ended up being purchased by the Government of British Coloumbia. Doesn't end there as in 2010 it was declased surplus, sold to the Beamish Museum in England and in 2011, returned to England for restoration. An unknown photographer took this color slide at Expo 86.
