The surprise was the last car, a private sleeper Cimarron River., Frisco "Cimarron River", The CIMARRON RIVER is a 1948 Pullman sleeping car built as SLSF #1466, a 14-4 sleeper for the crack varnish "Meteor". The car also bounced around as ex-VIA #2105 Rainbow Falls and exx-CN #2105. It has been upgraded to operate on today's Amtrak and private trains. It sleeps 20 people, and has a shower and small galley. Meteor Rail, Inc. now owns and operates the car. |
