Beautiful action shot of four Conrail GG1's heading up a line of freight cars with CR #4867 taking the point. This was just a couple years before a lot of the GG1's were retired. Once the sleek symbol of Pennsy passenger speed, the GG1's later were relegated to freight duties. A note on the back of the photo by photographer D. Woodland states "Symbol freight PGPI. 10 am westbound." |
