CN 4-6-0 #1148 - Canadian National         
Here is one sharp looking 4-6-0 ten wheeler with its steam up, tender filled and just itching for its next assignment! Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1913 originally as Canadian Northern 4-6-0 #1148, it was renumbered in 1919 to CN 1148 after the mergers were done. This good looking loco headed up both passenger and freight trains during its nearly 42 years of service. It was sent to the scrapper's torch in March of 1955. Original specs - class G-16-1, 57" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 20x24" cylinders, engine weight of 154,000 lb and tractive effort of 25,768 lb. No photographer was listed for this photo.
