Here's another survivor of the steam era. Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in September of 1912, it was sold to George M Hart and ended working for Rail Tours Inc in January of 1966 after nearly 54 years of service to CP. Unfortunately, I believe this loco ended up on the Strasburg RR and sits in dire need of restoration. Specs - serial #51106, class D10J, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 21x28" cylinders, engine weight of 177,000 lb, tractive effort of 33,320 lb. . Paul Kuehner caught the loco while it was in Jim Thorpe, PA. |

Orignally built by the Montreal Locomtoive Works in September of 1912, it survived first as part of the Rail Tours Inc group and now resides on the Strasburg RR in dire need of restoration. |
