Newly delivered SD50 #6717 sits in the Conrail Conway yard waiting for an assignment. Built by EMD in November of 1983, this SD50 model answered the immediate need for power that Conrail had when rail shipping picked up after a slump. After the Conrail breakup, this unit became NS 5411. CR 6701 sits behind #6717. CR conductor Ken Taylor took this color slide. |
