This loco was one of six transferred from the Detroit, Toledo & Ironton after Canadian National bought the DTI in 1984. It was built by EMD in June of 1968 as DTI #400. Its 16 cylinder diesel engine produced 3,000 h.p. and is coupled to a AC generator, driving standard blomberg truck. The loco could generate 50,000 lb in tractive effort. An unknown photographer took the photo. |
