IHB 2163 - Genset loco |
Description: |
As the two IHB genset units take off, the chameleon-like "Z" stripe actually starts showing its true green color. At different times it looks black, much like the Pennsy dark Brunswick green used on the GG1's could change colors depending on the angle of the light. |

IHB 2163 |
Description: |
The lead unit in the IHB pair was one of the newer gensets that arrived on the IHB property in 2011. When the light is right, the simple way to spot one of these newer units is by the color of the stripe. Traditional IHB diesels have a black stripe while the newer gensets have a dark green stripe. Only problem is sometimes the dark green can look black under certain lighting conditions. |

The other simple way to spot the newer genset locos besides the green stripe is by the 3 separate intake screens on the side, one for each prime mover that can be kicked into use when needed. |
