Description:  Sitting with steam up and ready is this 1902 Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin) Prairie style locomotive. Specs after conversion to simple expansion by Santa Fe shops in 1912 - 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 23.5x28" cylinders engine weight of 210,190 lb, traactive effort of 38,097 lb. Title:  ATSF 2-6-2 #1079 - Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe
Description:  Built by Baldwin as an Vauclain compound 2-6-2 in April of 1902, ATSF #1079 was simplified in a rebuilt at the Topeka KS shops in 1914. Upon retirement in 1955, it was doated ot the Coffeyville, KS city for display. As of 2022, it was still there! Rebuilt specs - 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 23.5x28" cylinders, engine wt of 235,200 lb and tractive effort of 38,150 lb. This is a Jim Lockart slide. The date is based on the slide date stamp - probably taken in August or September of 1991.
