Monon Turntable and Roundhouse
Title:  Monon Turntable and Roundhouse
Description:  Interesting view turntable and roundhouse from 1963. I believe the 75 foot, 150 ton turntable and the 10 stall turntable both date back to at least 1905. MON #22 sits just beyond the table and the iconic Hammond water tower can easily be seen in the far background. What appears to be a former heavyweight passenger car now appears to serve as a shed. TPW 202 - Toledo, Peoria & Western
Title:  TPW 202 - Toledo, Peoria & Western
Description:  Nice photo of the TPW Alco RS2 unit. Although a b&w photo, it appears to still be wearing the original Pullman green and cream stripe paint scheme which all but disappeared by 1981. Of note is the chopped nose on #202 - only one of the 7 RS2's to receive the "nose job" but done after this photo was taken. No info came with the photo so the date and location are approximations. No photogrpaher listed either.

TPW Alco RS2 #205 - Toledo, Peoria & Western
Title:  TPW Alco RS2 #205 - Toledo, Peoria & Western
Description:  The brightly painted Toledo, Peoria & Western switcher was built by Alco in September of 1949 (serial #77404) for the TPW. One source has it being sold to the OCTR (Octoraro RR) sometime in 1984 although no corroborating info could be found. As sister unit, TPW #202, was found on the OCTR roster. The OCTR ceased operations in 2004. A note from Thomas Dyrek (see comment below) indicates that unfortunately this unit was finally scrapped sometime in the 1990's. Hugh Blaney slide

EL RS2 #906 - Erie Lackawanna
Title:  EL RS2 #906 - Erie Lackawanna
Description:  Sitting between its sisters in the Saddle Brook, NJ yard, EL #906 was delivered to the Erie by Alco in November of 1949 and served as ERIE #906 before the merger. It carried the same number as EL #906. When the loco was merged into the Conrail roster, it was renumbered CR 5206. The final disposition is unknown but would assume that it was scrapped like many of the Alcos were under Conrail sometime in the late 1970's to early 1980's. No photographer was listed and the date is approximate since none was given.
