Heading up a string of power are two Illinois Central GP40R's. #3108 was built in January of 1966 as IC GP40 3013 but was rebuilt and renumbered later. #3106 was built in February of 1966 as IC GP40 #3003 but rebuilt and renumbered later. An unknown photographer took the photo. No location or exact date were given for the photo but it looks like the IC mainline several miles south of Homewoord, IL, with the electrified line next to it. |
